2020 Adelaide Basketball Challenge
It's not PL minus a few imports. Some regular PL players are doing other things following the announcement of the cancellation of NBL 1 for 2020 Our club has half a dozen players who have decided to take the season off and will return in 2021. It is Reserves plus not Premier League minus.

Where is the fixture. Be good to watch some Senior hoops

Are BSA employees getting on here to comment about Basketball Adelaide?
If so it says all you need to know about BSA as a organisation.

Wow - some people here make Trump look like a genius!!!

Why not just let Basketball Adelaide run it all. It's not like they themselves are driven by 10 different self interests. They would work for every consumer and stakeholder surely.

No way. They are self preservation, self interest and doing as less possible driven. They know it. Clubs know it. We all do.

You mean the public are not doing their job. You can tell people to not shake hands but if hey do what can you do?
Dreams are free #184

When it Bball is shutdown again next week, will this hopefully be the end of BSA? Restart it as a commercial organisation that is consumer and stakeholder driven?

No players or coaches getting paid like SANFL and SA Amateur Footy League.
Would 6ers players like McVeigh, Teys still play just to get games prior to training camp kicking off?
Pretty sure most country footy leagues have either cancelled their season or not paying anyone so doubtful the South guys would play footy this year.

Because there have been so many options for other commitments during these COVID-19 times lol

Financially they would have to play games out of a "hub" instead of having them spread out. Used to do it back in the day, was good after playing to watch a few other games. In reality reserves were in same format, this competition will be slightly better level with some starters participating. But doesn't give much time for teams to prepare so will be pretty ugly and rely on individuals to dominate if they can be bothered to play.

One you are missing is many players do not want to play due to other commitments following NBL1 formally cancelling season.

My understanding was they voted against a Saturday night 3 x 3 comp

I have heard that the Adelaide clubs voted against a 2020 Sat night State League comp for financial (cost) and competitiveness (some teams have imports, some don't) reasons. Disappointing decision as the state league has been running for over 50 years uninterrupted. No REAL Premiers, No Woollacott, No Halls and footy, soccer and Netball are all having a state competition in 2020.

looking forward to getting out to a few games

Nice to see Owen Odigie promoted to the full roster for the Melbourne Tigers next season. Great defensive player and athlete.
