brisbane and its salary cap
Isaac, Perth is a different argument. I am referring to you saying that's what happens when you ignore the cap. We have teams like Brisbane on top of the ladder and that may be linked to a breach of salary cap competing against a team like Adelaide within the cap. That is well and truly an unfair advantage. As I said, I do not want to lose dishonestly.

Isaac, these are the exact words you posted on another thread. "It's worth looking back through Brisbane's results recently - there are a lot of big 20-40 point wins at home and on the road. That's what happens when you ignore the cap." You asked if I wouldn't want to win honestly. The answer is yes I do want to win honestly and yes I do not want to lose dishonestly.

"EC, why would you hope that the team cheats? Wouldn't you want to win honestly?" Isaac, I would want to compete and win on an even playing field. The Bullets thrashed us last night and most of the talk was about how much better they are and how bad we are. When the difference in salary cap determines the team you have, then cheating would seem fair if everyone is doing it. No one comes along and takes away your championship trophy because you cheated the salary cap. If that threat was there, then perhaps all would adhere to the rules. I have never ever suggested that Adelaide should have an unfair advantage, whether it be the salary cap or the quality of officiating.

Hopefully Mal & Co have lots of money. We too can cheat the salary cap next season. Woody, how do you think Adelaide have breached the salary cap this year before a private buyer came into the picture and the government had control of the finances?
