Foul count
skudpud, you took the words right out of my mouth but I'm glad you said it instead of me because I have had my share of flack over my criticism of the refs. Its exactly what you say, they call a foul at one end and fail to call exactly the same thing at the other end. I don't know why they can't count to 3, you don't even need to go to school to learn that. Both my kids could do it as babies. I don't know why they are such a protected species when they are only human and humans naturally make mistakes. I put up with mistakes being pointed out to me, why not do the same to them. Why does a coach have to put up with being disadvantaged, especially when the outcome of the game is a meagre 2 points and could have gone either way. Why wasn't a foul called on Holmes last night when Brett had possession in the last 20 seconds? The 1 discrepancy alone could more than likely have cost us the game.

Skudpud read the rules and you will see Advantage/disadvantage is expected of the officials. Perhaps that is why the officiate and you spectate

Lets go with one (any one) player not being fully accountable to his defensive man or area. Then a team mate has to compromise his position to cover thus best position is never really obtained.
Pressure still has to be applied to the ball carrier /shooter leading to fouls because officials "ref" the defence. That is their primary objective is to determine whether or not the defence has established a legal position.
