Actually no it is an extremely stupid analogy and a huge exaggeration. On average over 12 months a junior would play a game or have training twice a week. I think you can have an ice cream twice a week. Even if the season is more condensed when the training/games happen it isn't close to your stupid exaggeration of 1095 ice creams a year.
Burn out would be more a cause from bad coaches that has destroyed their love for the game, not making a particular team, being on a team with players they don't like, playing multiple sports, parents that give them the wrong type of support etc
These are young fit healthy juniors that can do a 1 hour game and several training's a week.
