Photos - CABL Grand Finals
Yaak is another guy that hasn’t actually suited up in a proper tournament for SA (correct me if I’m wrong here) yet will be going to AIS at the start of the school year. He is still eligible to play in 18s this year but maybe has realised the rewards for playing for BSA aren’t really what it’s all cracked up to be. While yes previously he experienced injuries in 16s, to his hip from memory, and couldn’t go last year because of COVID but is currently training w the 36ers and is choosing to not play state out of choice. With him and pihillipou both not playing state it outlines that maybe kids are starting to realise that playing for BSA isn’t really desirable.
