Justin Schueller NBL Shot?
Why are people waiting for him to fail in the SEABL. It has nothing to do with last week's championship. His team won the championship against other local teams. The grand final victory will be no less sweeter if he doesn't win any games in the National finals this weekend. What's to come is a separate issue to what he has already achieved. Forestville won the championship last year but were not too successful in the National games, I didn't see any posts questioning Simons ability as a coach.

Dusty Bottoms, North played 4 games and won 3 in the absence of Dusty. They beat Woodville, Sturt and Centrals. Don't forget the top 3 teams all have NBL players, Forestville have 2. Both Forestville and Norwood have older more experienced players, North is mostly made up of very young players with much less experience. The guidance given by Schueller gave them the edge. 4 of North's starting 5 are under 24 years old.

Interested, I thoroughly agree and its exactly what I was thinking. He is only 26 so how much history does this man have to have? He is still on the first page of his resume, give him 10 years and no doubt he will have filled another 10 pages. Oh and by the way, what an impressive first page.

Anon #145174 even Norwood's shooting at 20% is attributable to Scheuller's "Master Plan".

Stacked team or no stacked team, they played the toughest team in the league in the grand final. I don't think Schueller had to do any more to prove he knows what he is doing. Before the grand final, the Rockets lost 2 out of the 3 games against Norwood and the only game they won was by 1 point in overtime. Its obvious his tactics in the grand final game was the decider. Don't underestimate him. On CoastFM the other night Schueller did say that his lack of playing at NBL level would go against him as an NBL coach but I would say a few years as an assistant to learn the ropes would see him go a long way in the future of NBL basketball.
