Who's got next?
The fact of the matter most of the success for these athletes comes through which club environment they are in. The player development, mentoring, guidance and support they receive at club level is the greatest influence to their success and achievement outside of their own inherent capabilities and direct family support. Normally it is 1or2 individuals within the club that truly drive this in a direct, specific way for athletes.
Looking at top 5 scorers in U18s for example I note:
1. Sturt
2. North
3. North
4. Sturt
5. Sturt
It's not hard for families to figure out if they do their research and make smart decisions.
