Smyth on Breakers Loss
When will people realise, at this level, any team can score ok, defend ok. Champion teams have a definate scoring option that results in high percentage shots, and defensive players that will make the big defensive play. Sixers have neither.

I'm stuffed if I know why anonymous & interstate posters bother taking the time to hate on the 36ers. Surely the local d!ckheads get the job done.
For what it's worth, opposition fans have seen enough improvement in the 36ers to rank them as a threat, both defensively & on the scoring board.
Think about this for a moment, if our Boomer coach is branded defence first, why does he let the opposition score 80+?

The Breakers outscored the opposition 24-12 over that stretch on their way to their second consecutive victory.
Even if we had a 10 point lead, we got outscored by 12 down the stretch!

Down 2 or 3 points 30 odd secs left, why foul? Get a stop and your in with a shot.
Maybe if the coach spent more time in the timeout telling the players what to do instead of going on and on about hitting a 3. I'm sure Maher has been around long enough to know that we needed a three and he delivered it!
