2 Week's wait for clubs with undecided future

I know there is the probability that clubs and players are already in discussions, but according to the NBL rules, no contracts can be signed until the 2 weeks are up. For argument sake, you could say that so many things can happen in that 2 weeks before pen is put to paper. That is both the players and the clubs have the ability to change their mind. No one is absolutely secure until a contract in signed and the waiting period is there to be adhered to.
