Crowe released
How often would you see a first year team cut their leading assist getter (2nd in league), steals leader & most minutes played, second leading point scorer and third leading rebounder???
Perhaps the fact that he led the league in turnovers, could go from game MVP to bench warmer back to game MVP within a week and was the only senior Blaze player not to be appointed captain in the rotation system is justification.
Then again, being an import and competing for playing time against the coach's 20 year-old son would not inspire too much confidence. Also, having regular, public, differences of opinion with the coach, is also not going to help your cause.
IMO, Crowe was a great player and a good pickup for the Blaze in it's debut season. While his turnovers, shot selection and 'I'll go myself' attitude sucked on many occasions (perhaps costing us the home win against the Kings), there is no way the Blaze would have finished in eighth place without him.
Thanks Crowey for some great memories this past season. Good Luck to you and your family.
