Annoying Crowd Entertainment
Pretty much. Our crowd tends to be full of little kids, and old people who leave 3 minutes before the end of the game so they aren't caught in the traffic (even when the result is in doubt).
I thought the Navy Seals were originally supposed to be that "rowdier voice" however they died in the ass after one season; probably because instead of starting chants and mocking the opposing team, they got put into stupid half time dance routines with the cheerleaders (well, it happened once, and that was enough).
hehe, considering the level of competition and interest in the NBL, pyrotechnics really tends to add a bit of corn to a team's overall look.
The Dome's atmosphere is based solely upon gameplay. Us adelaide supporters tend to know what were watchin' and if the game is turning to shit or the ref makes a bad call; we let people know about it.
We just need a larger, rowdier drunk section at the Dome, preferably in the north stand where I sit. No enough insulting chants anymore.
