obsessive... yes. Only because he was the best player in the league; would have won league MVP and lead the sixers to a title had he started earlier in the season, probably would have won Finals MVP.
Just a shame that he would potentially be playing for New Jersey.

Lockstock, I would imagine (i.e. hope) they already were. After last season he made it quite clear that the NBA was his goal, it's not like they haven't known about his aspirations since the moment they signed him.
