Who is the best rookie not named Beasley or Rose?
I think OJ Mayo has the potential to come in and make an impact immediately.
Love is too small to be a center, and yet nto athletic enough and fast enough to be a forward-i struggle to see what position he can actually play
I honestly think that Jawai can make more of an impact than Love. This is because Jawai has the athleticism that Love doesn't have. Jawai could use his athleticism and speed to get to the rack and use his size and ups to finish strong. Love can get good positioning and get into nice scoring areas, but his lack of athleticism will mean that on many occassions, his shot will get blocked or he wil be put off his shot and as a result miss.
I like Brandon Rush, coz he got the height, shooting ability and still has the speed to get to the rack. Going into the NBA won't be as daunting for him compared with alot of the guys who are 6"4 who will lack the height to play SG, and will lack the speed to play SG. Fact is : The 6"3/6"4 rookies don't have a real advantage because they are going to be matching up against 6"6 guards who have a height advantage e.g Rip Hamilton (6"7 i think.??). Also the 6"3/6"4 rookies dont have the speed advantage. The SG's in the NBA are also very quick e.g Rudy Gay-much taller than the guards from this draft class.
Rookie guards just got to work hard in the off-season to work on speed, to make up that disadvantage which they have coming into the league.
