What if every NBA team went 41-41
"should have mentioned it before - what if the coin keeps landing on its side??"
There are a heap of tie-breakers that would apply - Conference record, Divisional record, H2H record, point spreads, etc, etc, which would be difficult to tie even if everyone went 41-41 due to some teams playing an odd number of games against a number of other teams.
If two teams are in an otherwise-unbreakable tie, they are separated by a coin toss (really - you can look it up).
Don't know off the top of my head if they would draw lots to separate a three(or more)-way unbreakable tie, or employ some other random method, but the result would be the same, Stern would use frozen envelopes, double-headed pennies and/or loaded dice to ensure seedings were in descending order of TV ratings (with sales of merchandise order used as a tie-breaker if required).
