SMH: Ansett's slam dunk on sports companies

Just when you thought the NBL was doing alright, Ansett administrators have sued Basketball Australia for half a million. Included in that bill is $204,561 owed by the NBL.

The NBL believe that the $500k was offset by sponsorship deals and offered $300k instead. This was rejected and the chief executive of BA says, "To defend this will cost us a lot of time and money."

Terrible news for Australian Basketball. I call for a boycott of all Ansett flights... waaaait a minute! Bugger.
