Music Ideas For 36ers Games
skip, needs to be there in some capacity..
Looking forward to hearing it all this year, good luck man.

Organ tunes are fine when the crowd is dead and need some uplifting. Once you get the crowd behind the team then you can usually kick in with the regular music and they'll keep on going.
I'm fine with that sort of music provided it isn't overused. Keeping in mind we're watching basketball and not baseball.

Definate to keep Thunderstruck at the beginning (preferably with more bass so the crowd get behind it more)
Enter Sandman or Master of Puppets to enter the 4th. Probably consider Recapturing the Vibe by HTH.
Sucker MC's by Run DMC would be quite nice, along with So Whatcha Want by Beastie Boys.

I was with about 20 juniors and near two melbourne girls, last night, and, they all enjoyed it.
(25or6to4 would rock the place silly)

"Hip to be square" - surely there is a dorky point guard out there that we can play this when he brings it down the court?
"I fought the law" - perfect for anyone who has had a recent appointment.....
"Girls just want to have fun" - tell me we can't fit this one in somewhere
"House of Cards" by Gangajang - save that one for the Dragons
"Boys in town" Divinyls
"Sultans of Swing"
"Wild Boys" Duran Duran
"Tojo" Hoodoo Gurus
"What I like about you"
Plastic Bertrand - Ca Plane Pour Moi
My Sharona

music/sound bites for particular people - just don't know who yet....
Green Day "American Idiot"
Hoodoo Gurus "Like Wow wipeout"
Peter Murray "Better days"
Sade "Smooth Operator"

Give it Away could work. Anything uptempo and not too heavy suits basketball.

Not sure about the legality of playing sounds like that in a public place...

We Will Rock You is played out...

The Misfits - Where Eagles Dare? =)

The first five notes of '25 or 6 to 4 ' by Chicago.

It'd be nice if we had some stuff that was a little more kind to the stadium speaker system - i.e. Jump Around by the aptly named "House of Pain" is painful over that speaker system. (I actually think te music could stand to be turned down a tad -
Newer pop songs don't really work...it's only the kids that know them. Thunderstruck is fine, but just for fun how about for the first game of the season using 'Back in Black' at some point during the intro? (Yes I know Sixers colours are blue not black but ssshhh).
Something different from the Hilltop Hoods would be nice, to show some SA love...Nosebleed Section is great and all but it's been done to death...
