Come Back Phil all is Forgiven
Every team will be affected by injuries at some point. They need to learn to cover it and step up.
Dragons defeated the Tigers without Worthington (one of their biggest contriubtors in nearly all statistical categories).
Last night they went on to beat Cairns without Horvath, they are small already but even smaller when you take out one of their two bigs.
Injuries to these big names are the perfect oppurtunity for the younger/up and coming and role players to show their stuff. Not so sure if any of our guys down the roster have that ability to step up. They are great at roles but dont seem to be able to push it when required.
A perfect example of this would be Rupert Sapwell, could go for 5 or 6 points a game and play his role at both ends of the courts, but on his night he could bust out for high teens given some extra court time for whatever reason (be injury or mathcup problems etc.) This season we lack that kind of guy. Look at our bench and tell me anyone of those guys who can go for high teens and make a impact on a game.

Without a second import (Chappelle was injured) and Maher out and a lesser talented team. Everyone called for and got Phil's head. Double standards?
XstatiK, personal attacks never enhance a debate and descent into profanity only indicates a lack of intellect.

Schench got the ball tonight because he was able to consistently score. I do not see any thing wrong with an offence that uses someone with a hot hand. We could have tried to isolate him better in the fourth by making it hard for the double team. We also need to learn how to get him the ball when he is being closely gaurded.
Develop other offencive options for sure but when someones hot then give them the ball.

OP: Rose coloured glasses mate.
Ninnis is a rookie coach. Management had to make a decision at the end of last season, so far it hasn't worked out but we can hope for the best. Tonight's game was painful to watch, but there were some positives i.e. Schenscher playing a blinder.

If I'm a tool you must be a nut, you definitely need tightening. The only offence used tonight was as I posted. An NBL quality coaching panel should have more alternatives in their game book than what was on show tonight.
Thank God for Schenscher is all I can say.

Panther,
Frank the Tank & Chopper want to have a birthday meal this evening.
Happy 31st Birthday Panther.
