36ers v Tigers @ the Cage 27th Dec
Justin 1 & 2 or the same guy. I think you have #41 Bo Westover (82kg) mixed up with #45 Robbie Stone (Quad Stacker) they both came on at the same time.

Don't know if they would be all that worried? A little concerned but I'm sure they'll regroup and move on. They'll put it down to a unwell Anstey and lack of PG which they have now solved by signing Kendall

Aaron Bruce knee injury cut into his time - Boti.

Awesome win, first quarter was some great TEAMWORK!
Anstey is either injured or crook he was slow and cumbersome played very spread bursts and did little to help his side, 0/4 3's in the first quarter really helped us out.
Jacob shot some nice open j's in the first half, Hodge was brilliant (scored 16pts before he missed one? All good drives spins working hard).
We went with Hodge on Barlow, Bruce on Ebe resulting in Bruce getting a couple quick fouls as Ebe looked to post him up. Switched Bruce and Maher up and things got going better. From than on it wasn't that Bruce had or was doing anything wrong it was just the 5 of Maher, Hodge, Holmes, Balls & Luke playing so well why stuff that up.
Davidson came on for some great impact minutes and a three to end the third was what we needed going into the fourth as the Tigers tried to make their run from a long way behind.
Shouldn't dwell on the bad points but Cooper still just plain struggles, sure he got a great block on Barlow but other than that he was easily pushed out of position by Hoare on rebounding and trying to defender Hoare he lost him on offense everytime.
Other than that a GREAT game, a great shooting display in the first half 59% from the field.
The Tigers were definitely struggling tonight and the sooner they get some structured offense (ie a point guard) and a healthy Anstey they will be a tough proposition.
Good to see a decent number of Sixers fans over for the game and enjoying a rare win at the Cage, hopefully more to come!!!

tiger radio thought the sixers are not far off the top two teams and with a super star added to the team , now, they will improve.

Top 2 is possible. Without looking at other team's remaining schedules, our own is an enviable one. We are heading towards the end of the season with enough games left to push us higher up the ladder and games that are nearly all winnable. The only one I anticipate will be a problem is the away game against Dragons (although we have gained Hodge since last playing them). There's 2 against Perth and New Zealand at home which we should give a good go and the others are against lower ranking teams.

Yes. We were terrible for that first two minutes of the second quarter. Luckily we called a time out and brought the superstar back on.

That was a great win and a great coverage from tiger radio, even better hearing you guys on there. Enjoyed it.

DDF he was making no excuses and they are looking at making some internal changes. Spoke about letting a long term injured player go (Mckinnon I think to injury waivers) and getting a Aussie to replace him. He thinks they are a mediocre team and that they will be lucky to make the play offs on current form.

Ita, I need more than 1 doughnut to qualify. The concern although the margin was quite high is the fact that the 36ers have been inconsistent and against a team like the Tigers, you have to be wary that they will come right back at you. Although I was quietly confident, I couldn't rest easily until the game finished. The 3rd quarter gave enough of a scare that another quarter like that could have seen us losing the game. Sorry, I am so excited about the win I can't be upset with anyone. The only regret I have is not being there at the game.

We get more dangerous week after week. Stay focussed and the post season is going to be huge. Keep rollin' Sixers - love it. MASSIVE win.

If its just the 3rd quarter we cant play, I can live with that tonight. The 36ers have to really come out to play in the 4th. To get to this stage and then lose it would be an utter embarrassment.

Jacob needs to contain Ere.

^^^ mother of God.

Mine read out too :p

Shelbs...you're an idiot lol

MASSIVE thanks for the Live Radio link. Been searching. Second half time.
And yeah...I misspelt Julius above. Scotch will do that. C'mon guys - finish it.

Probably shouldn't question Julian on NBL.com 'bout his road form...unless you bet on having your team decimated. Bring it home boys...and watch the turnovers!!
Need to contain Anstey and Ere still. Like last time, Chris can turn that deficit around in no time, and Ebe isn't far behind.

36ers 3 Points 4/6 (67%)? What the? We don't have reliable 3 point shooters. Can they keep it up in the 2nd half?

Samba, Julius Hodge is a strange player in my eyes. Strange in that he ends the game with good stats but I can't see the performance that resulted in it. I get frustrated watching his style of game and don't enjoy it one bit, but at the end of the night, he has the figures to show for it and so I keep quiet.

Anstey has a score to settle in this game and doing it in front of the home crowd will give him the support he needs. Our only hope here is that the refs will not tolerate his thuggery and respond to it like they did in Adelaide. While Adelaide don't have their home crowd lifting them up, they certainly need the refs on their side for this one. The attitude of the 36ers will also be defined by the treatment they get in Melbourne by the refs and will be the key to winning or losing this game. They can anticipate the crowd behaviour and work on tactics to minimize its effect, but its the refs that have been so unpredictable.
