36ers vs Taipans, Jan 10
Yes, if people can't say it's unsportmanlike, let's just say a gentleman would never have taken that shot.

It is all determined by the clock. If there was time left, which I assume there was as the shot would not have been counted otherwise. I disagree with everyone here because the ending of the game with shaking hands and returning back to the bench should not have happened prematurely. The result was inevitable but play should still continue until the clock expires. No bad sportsmanship if there was still time.

LOL,
the roll of Schultz has been taken by 3 men "I see nothing!"
DJM,
Unfortunately, the last 3 was counted. I thought it was particularly bad sportsmanship to have a shot when everyone is shaking hands and one of the tie pins bench had already thrown a water bottle on the court and they were all on the court.
Another incident was when Luke was pushed to the ground in Q4. He held his arm out to the Cat to help him up, but who left him on the floor and only gave him a sneer as his slithered by. C'mon man, that's a bit average don't you think?
BTW, I hope Boti enjoys his Villis pie pack

Talking about position on the ladder, does everyone know that it is still a remote possibility that we could finish the regular season on top of the ladder. All it takes is for us to win all 7 remaining games, the Dragons to lose all their remaining games, NZ to lose most of their remaining games and Tigers to lose half their remaining games. Now that's not too much to ask for is it?

#220699, it was important to win the game by a large margin due to being able to get 4th position. Didn't want to dwindle the lead by bringing rookies on too early.

Actually, a couple more dirty things fro tie pins:
* Pony tail pulling
* Holding and elbowing
* The guy who shot the 3 with seconds to go when everyone was shaking hands...no class

He hit four threes in a row! (and props to the rest of the team for recognizing the flames on his arms).Actually, I'm pretty sure all these were from passes from Winitana - they had a spell there where every time one passed to the other, they scored.
IIRR they also combined for the lead-up passes to Luke's big dunk in the first half.

Good work X,
Reffing was v. poor. Too many examples of soft calls against the Sixers, too much latitude to the tie pins.
e.g. Aaron brings the ball down and Grabber blocks him - no call. I jump out and call the block, suddenly Andrew Filmer reaches for and grabs his whistle for a call.
The whole melee was a debarcle. Signals for this, cancelled, recalled. Make up your minds boys.

Leave Kersten alone it was his first time playing and he choked a little bit what did you expect.
It didn't effect the outcome to much did it??
Like to see you do any better!!

Scott wasn't happy with that kersten effort.
Crowd 5003 I think they said. Perhaps a second import could be worth a thousand.
Guess wed and sat 11,300 not too bad.

My initial thoughts are, 7 players in double figures.
All of these had injury and fitness problems, early in the season. Hodge came in and lead the scoring.
Now everyone is fit , healthy , lifted , improved.

We would have them on percentage for now. BUT come season's end if teams are tied on win-loss than it goes on direct head to head game results.

Tip-off is 7pm.
+1 vote for Lederhosen hilarity.

Jack, I think it would be hilarious if there were around 6 blokes dressed in Lederhosen down the end of the court where the dancers sit. Every time the refs overlook the mauling on Schenscher, the blokes could perform the German slapping dance. Perhaps Skip could find some appropriate music to play to complement the dancing. Now that would be a sight to behold.

Ironically Schutzenfest is on this weekend. I have organised a Lederhosen fur dem gross Luke.
Whether the refs continue to miss the constant slapping, holding and pushing will be noted.
Boti, please use the Lederhosen reference in the paper this week!

Good point re: Bruce. I was cringing everytime he went near the rock in the clutch until I listened in on the Wildcats double OT game - he came up massive.
Wednesday night was a huge improvement re: turnovers for the team as a whole. Let's keep it that way! Looks like the offence is starting to gel.

Oh I know, I just think he has another level in him, that's all. Tough with the rotation he's in though.

Adelaide by 10.
The match up of Cat vs. Ballinger is one I'm very much looking forward to see. Given Cat is somewhat past his prime, I'd give Balls that contest. Will be interesting though.
Similarly, Crosswhite vs. Schenscher will be one to watch, again giving Schen the edge, especially after his confidence building performance against the Gong.
Depends which Darnell turns up - he seems to either be on fire or a complete non-factor these days (as much as I love the guy).
I'd like to see Maher back up his stunning, vintage performance from Wed night as well, provided he's healthy. (We share the same doctor, so I'll pump him for info!).
I'd like to see Winitana and Hill continue to improve, and Davidson regain confidence on his road back from injury.
Also, time is running out in the season for Jacob to find his niche' - love to see him come good.
