The media room still has a very funny video of Hawkes in a batman film from 1989 (well it still did have it as of two years ago), that's how I found out he went to St. Pauls.

I also remember Rogers coming back for a photo shoot in 1997 for the Advertiser back page.

Sadly it's a case of that's the way we've always done it.
Was a huge outcry by some when Mt Gambier were homeless and wanted in to the Premier League, didn't turn out badly at all.
Suppose will always come down to dollars and cents. Teams in the Riverland, Whyalla and Port Lincoln could be viable if some players could be attracted to play there with existing locals. Certainly money in Pt Lincoln. But BSA are blinkered in expanding its league. Even junior state championships, why not have a play in against the 2 bottom teams per age group?
