LJ to return to the WNBA

LJ has confirmed she is returning to Seattle and will not be hooking up with the Mercury...

As a Mercury fan, I too would obviously love to see her in Phoenix too. Surely playing alongside her good mate Diana Taurasi has to have a lot of appeal for her as well.

What probably doesn't help is us trading away PG Kelly Miller. Who is going to get LJ the ball now? In Seattle she has Sue Bird. In Phoenix she has? Temeka freakin' Johnson? Cappie "shoot first, ask questions later" Pondexter?

There are 2 GMs out there praying pretty hard right now. One of their teams is going to be pretty ordinary this coming season.

Probably would like to go to Phoenix for personal reason's but she is a very loyal person and will find it hard to leave Seattle after all this time

A more solid victory in game 2 for the Boomers today, 77-61.

Holmes played 20 minutes (and started again) for 10 points (3-7 FG and 4-4 FT), 7 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal.

Forman had 7 minutes for 4 points (missed a 3, but 2-2 FG besides that), 3 rebounds and an assist.

Worthington had 14 to lead the Boomers, almost all on free throws (11-12), Saville shot poorly again to finish with only 2 points, Bruton had 12 at a high percentage (and 4 steals) and I think Vasiljevic had 10 and 4.

Jacob's 7 boards was the best for the Boomers.
