what & fox26... I'm completely confused!!! LOL.
The website isn't showing what I saw earlier, so there must have a been a glitch with the system and results.
Sorry for the mis information I posted earlier, and thanks for the clear up.

SA Country Women are playing of for a 9th/10th placing.
SA Country Men vs. SA Metro for 9th/10th placing.
SA Metro Women 3rd are in for a Bronze medal finish on a victory over "undecided".

OVERTIME VICTORY!!!!!
Men: SA Metro 108 def. WA Metro 101tro

Live Update is getting confused at the moment, it does have the correct end score but the overtime score should read 24 SAM to 17 WAM.
Lachlan Prest 35mins, 27points at 77%, 14rebounds, 2 blocks AND Nathan Spehr 49mins, 25points 6 rebounds AND Jake Sadauskas 13 points at 56%, 9 rebounds.
Well done boys!

yeah i had to make some phone calls to get a result, seen F Marshall was fouled and the ACT were in foul trouble...
Good on the young men...Nelson played some minutes too so thats another highlight..
Metro W copped a touch up by the looks too...
will they now play off for bronze?

Men: SA Country 81 def. ACT 79
http://linky.com.au/0w87f
This link will show you a result of 79 to 79 with 19 seconds to go, but SAC did win through with successful free throws by Fraser Marshall & Ayden Bartlett (one each) to claim victory...

Ohhh...9th or 10th... :-(

PP, yeah well after that win, i guess they are going to get the sort of spot i said...i will say IMO i thought they would be 5th or 6th, but your right, lose some close ones and there you go down the ladder...
Olivia has been the stand out by miles...i would say she will close to a AIS spot to be honest, specially if NS has a spot.
Do they do an all star 5 or anything?, again I reckon she will be close to that too..very athletic as a tall player, having watched her, i think she has a boys game in the paint...which is a killer for her...

ACT women just lost by 6 to Tas... SAC I think will move into 8th position, which will be a great result... And play off to steal 7th...

Pigs of War - I was talking to one of the assistant coaches and he agreed, they too thought a top 8 berth would have been a likely result prior to the carnival, however that's the difference between winning hte close ones & losing them... They had a 3pt & 10pt loss, which obviously moved them down the ladder.
Women: SA Country 71 def. WA Country 60

Olivia Thompson has been the stand out thus far for SA Country and at bottom age, will be a great force in 12mths time. Game stats 21pts, 0fouls, 4blks, 6reb. Tayla Corrigan also goo in her half a game with 10reb.
Rebecca Preston for WAC was great for her 12pt, 11reb.

WOW, 9th - 12th!
Without turning this into a shit fight like all other threads, I would have seen this team as fighting for 5th - 8th. I didn't see them as top 4, but certainly better than this. Especially after last years excellent performance.
Hopefully the coaches and girls can work on this for next year's campaign.

Awesome insight anon!!! Thanks heaps for that reporting from the game!
Heard about Hollitt's knee, that's heaps shit! Bad enough to lose the talent, worse to lose a great captain. The boys will be inspired to lead a charge in his absence!

Men: NSW Metro 72 def. SA Country 50
http://linky.com.au/5fqj7
Shooting Percentage & lack of Rebounds really hurt SAC in this 22 point loss.
I've not kept a big eye on individual statistics, has anyone noticed a particular player that would vy as best game for the weekend?
Here's one from this game:
NSWM
#15 Daniel Trist (a point or rebound every 1:10approx.)
26:02mins
9/13 Field Goals at 69%
3/6 Foul Shots @ 50%
= 21 Points
2 offensive + 12 defensive rebounds = 14
Let us know what you find.

Thanks Anonymous #232583, it's much appreciated.
Just hopped online from leaving work and having tea to find out this bloody rain has caused some issues for LIVE stats... BUT it's loaded up so hopefully they continue to be available.
Men: SA Metro 90 def. ACT 59
http://linky.com.au/iucyo
All the boy scame to play this one and similar to the SAMW earlier, game time was shared very evenly between all the players.
All the boys got on the board with 2pts or more with a dominating display from Jake Sadauskas with 18 (all coming from 2pt territory or the foul line) + 7reb, and Daniel Carlin almost posted a double with 16pts & 9reb.
Anthony Pronin & Nathan Smith were best for ACT with Smith on 13pts, 9reb.

Update on injured boys from SA Country...
Fraser Marshall - a little stiff, but is likely to take to the court.
Nelson Magor - Has been directed by a dr to see a specialist and have a scan on his hand. Can't currently catch a ball, so safe to say he won't suit up today, or possibly the remainder of the carnival.
Peter Hooley: Eye is intact, a big egg on his eye, but excellent result and may suit up for this afternoons game.

Women: SA Metro 87 def. WA Country 63
http://linky.com.au/mofmd
This was a great game all-in-all. I think the SA coaches realised they couldn't better their position too much with a massive victory so they shraed the court time very even through their squad, with bench players playing the bulk of the minutes.
All players scored, 6 players in double digits and Rodalie Cutri had 11pts/11reb.
Hats off for GREAT sportsmanship!

Women: SA Country 61 def. NT 41
http://linky.com.au/xdz2e
SAC's Olivia Thompson returned a double double with 11 points, 12 rebounds in 25.26 court time. Alissa Hampton hit at 67% for game leading 21 points, with 9 rebounds.
NT did very well in this with a good workload spread to go down by 20.

Current Ladder update - 10:32pm 22/04
SA Metro Men - Ladder 7th (P5 - W2 - L3 104.20%)
SA Country Men - Ladder 10th (P5 - W2 - L3 96.79%)
SA Metro Women - Ladder 4th (P5 - W4 - L1 126.28%)
SA Country Women - Ladder 10th (P5 - W1 - L4 87.36%)

Not Happy with Live Stats on this one... Didn't watch any of the game and it only showed me the happenings at the end.
Shot above 50% and almost doubled WAC in Rebounds & Points in the Paint.
Nathan Spehr shot for 22 points at 75%, as did John Marriott for his 13. Josh Owen-Thomas was at 80% on 11 points and Lachlan Prest hit his 4 shots at 100%. And Daniel Carlin 10pts, 10reb for a double double.

Men: SA Country 69 def. NT 52
http://linky.com.au/ftf0c
ummmmm.... Started out as something that SAC could get very excited about, but turned into a somewhat embarrasing second half on the back what could be some serious injuries.
Fraser Marshall 2.50mins - fell on lower back early and iced for remainder of the game
Nelson Magor 4.02mins - subbed out with a ball to the thumb, iced and took no further part in the game.
Peter Hooley 18.23mins - "POSSIBLE" broken eye socket, obviously took no further part in the game.
My feedback is via text from a watching mum, none of which is official, but if someone hears more, it would be good to keep people upodated as all injuries are unwelcome.
And I must apologies to Daniel Florance of NT... He only played 19.59mins with 5 points in 2 from 5 shooting... Maybe the coach saw my earlier written statistics and thought it was time to take the pressure of him being the main player... MY bad SORRY!

Followed this on the net, SACW played there bench more or less the last 10 minutes,
Only 1 scorer in double digits...that alone is the only stat needed to tell you, you wont win against Vic Metro...
Bloody pisser to say the least for the girls...bad luck

Current Ladder update - 3:39pm 22/04
SA Metro Men - Ladder 10th (P4 - W1 - L3 94.08%)
SA Country Men - Ladder 11th (P4 - W1 - L3 91.50%)

Women: Vic Metro 90 def. SA Country 41
http://linky.com.au/m8uz9
Woah... First term showed great promise, then VICM hit their straps... Nothing too memorable to report except for Seekamps 7 rebounds which was the 3rd highest tally for the game...
Will be playing off for a very low ranking, but there would be alot being learnt by all involved.

Very good 2nd half by the looks from SAM Women...I would also say well coached too. Troy would have pulled out all the tricks to get this one thru...well done....
on another note, any big names from the NBL showed up yet scouting?

Women - SA Metro 77 def. NSW Metro 71
http://linky.com.au/ucr5u
Well done SA down by as much as 13 early in the second quarter, bounced back to take the lead in the 3rd, and apart from at one stage being down by 1, they were never headed to run out winners.
Down on Rebounds, assists, steals, points in the paint, second chance points and points off turnovers - BUT better % from the field, from the arc & from the charity stripe, didn't get into foul trouble... AND WON THE GAME.

Current Ladder update - 12:36pm 22/04
SA Metro Women - Ladder 5th (P4 - W3 - L1 131.15%)
SA Country Women - Ladder 9th (P4 - W1 - L3 101.50%)
Regarding the Metro Women, we are now equal on wins/losses with QLD South which we beat last night, however we remain 1 spot lower than them on percentage. It was mentioned that we would go above them on head to head... How does it work, does anyone know?

Yes you did anon #232347, fox 94 was just showed us your working outs as I didn't quite understand it... BUT it's very easy once seen.

fox 94 - Cool! Thanks, never looked at it that way before, and makes good sense!

anon #232329 how would that work with the same example?
(for example SAM game they had 22 FG = 44 points + 4 3P = 12 points + 24 FT that = 80 Points but they have it as 72)
I'm curious to see your working out. Thanks.

Unfortunately the confusion with statistics comes in as 3 point shots are a field shot, so to get the true points score you have to take away how many 3pt shots were hit from the amount of hit field goals.
(for example SAM game they had 22 FG = 44 points + 4 3P = 12 points + 24 FT that = 80 Points but they have it as 72)
22FG - 4x3P = 18 successful 2PT Field Goal attempts.
18 x 2PT = 36
+ 4 x 3PT = 12
+ 24FT x 1 = 24
TOTAL = 72 Points scored for the Game.
BL = Blocks For
BI = Blocks Against
The BL is just short for BLOCKS, and I believe BI is short for Blocks Incurred.

Sorry about that #232318... It was an all expenses meal at a restaurant by a rep for work... Very Nice! LOL.
Apparently it could end up that the SA Men's teams could play off against each other for a placing... Just waiting for the ladder to be updated...

Sorry guys went out for tea and missed the 5 & 7 o'clock games...
Women: NSW Country 62 def. SA Country 52
http://linky.com.au/0k850
This was a unlucky loss... Checking out the statistics, they were so evenly matched, but NSWC hit 4 more 3 point shots... That was all the difference I could see... Maybe the points off turnovers aswell...
Men: WA Metro 94 def. SA Country 83
http://linky.com.au/qdvmj
Rebounds, Points in the Paint & Second Chance Points Scored earned WA Metro this 11 point victory.
SAC Were within 4 points with 41 seconds to play, but having to foul to stop the clock proved too difficult to catch the score up WAM hit 2 points then went 5 from 6 at the charity stripe to pull away.

ankles - Triple Double to Gretel Tippett: 19pts, 15 rebounds... 14 Turnovers... BUT Serioulsy great game, ended with 9 Blocks, just short of a proper triple double & just short of leading her girls to the victory.
This is a difficult game to analyze... QLD better from the field, however 0/12 outside, where as SAM hit 4 and SAM were better from the charity stripe. QLD won the boards, the blocks and points inside the paint. BUT QLD turned it over 27 times, to SAM 19 but in saying that SAM didn't capitalize with a score on just 2 of those occasions.
Ultimately the difference I think is SAM had 101 shots from the field/foul to QLD South' 96... 5 more shots, 5 more points.

Women: SA Metro 72 def. QLD South 67
http://linky.com.au/22re7
WooHoo... Girls over the line and will leap frog to 3rd (4th worse case scenario). Puts them in good stead to get a medal...

While you SA folk maybe anxiously watching the result, I am cheering for a quadruple double from Gretel Tippett. Already with a trip-dub in points, rebounds and turnovers(!), she has gone on a block spree in the last few minutes and is looking at a potential real blocks/points/rebounds trip-dub.

asd - that's great, being involved with different competitions, I see some go on head to heads, some go on percentages... Too hard to keep up, so that would be awesome to go in on the head to head ranking.
We would jump to second in our section, 3rd overall with Vic Country to play 1 game, which could drop us to 4th...
Fingers crossed from those of us watching the game via net and CHEER BLOODY LOUD for those that are there live.
Dead level 2nd period 15-15.

allo allo - it would be a nice scenario, but percentage needs to increase, we are currently 34.47% out of 2nd with a victory over QLD South. Defence has been our let down letting 193 points through to the basket.
I'm watching on live stats now with anticipation...

Current Ladder update - 2:58pm 21/04
SA Metro Men - Ladder 6th (P3 - W1 - L2 94.25%)
SA Country Men - Ladder 11th (P2 - W1 - L1 105.06%)
SA Metro Women - Ladder 6th (P3 - W2 - L1 139.38%)
SA Country Women - Ladder 9th (P3 - W1 - L2 106.86%)

OH NO...
Men - QLD South 78 def. SA Metro 73
http://linky.com.au/dinqz
Down by 3 with 8 seconds to go... SAM take a timeout & make a substitution... In-bound Pass, to try for a three to tie the game... BALL STOLEN QLD score 2pts to win by 5...
SAM headed shot%, 3pt%, rebounds & assists - BUT had 20 less shooting opportunities, 10 more turnovers and 16 less scores inside the paint.
Depending on the next couple of results, it could end up witht he SA teams going head to head for placings...

Daniel Florance - the poor kid isn't having a lot of fun... Looking at the teams statistics, I think he may be their gun, but it's not falling for him.
In 3 games he's 10 from 51 from the field (19.6%), 4 from 22 behind the arc (18.2%), however 10 from 12 at the charity stripe (83.3%).
Averaging 11.3 pts, 1.7 assists, 5.3 rebounds and 8.6 turnovers a game.
