Shin Splints - pretty sure I heard Rodriguez was traded earlier. I said 'might be okay' because there weren't really any good places left for him to land at the point. Its not great for him, but what I like is that Blake is not seen as the long-term solution and Bayless does not seem to have won the Blazers coaching staff over yet - he is also not a true PG. So Patty will have to work hard, but I see him as having some chance, because he can offer a different skill set to the team.

Thanks 24 I didn't realise that. Pretty sure Mills hired an agent though didn't he?

Portland might be okay Mills. Still west coast, a good organisation, and its not like they are stacked at PG.
C'mon Ingles... hope you sneak into one of the last picks

LOL Guam - Americans racist against Aussies... what a joke. Its not bad luck when Mills goes this low.
Either Mills was poorly advised about where he would get drafted or he decided he needed to make the jump to the pros this year for some reason (could be money or something).

Annex1 - would love Mills to go to my fav team too. Problem is that he probably wouldn't get much of a shot there for a couple of years. Unless Ainge really DOES trade Rondo?!?!

Ok that is REALLY bad news now. Lakers just took FKN Patrick Beverley - some scrub American playing in the UKRAINE ahead of Mills. Doesn't say much for how scouts view Mills.

we're up 2 pick 41 and no Mills anywhere, you would think he would have only stayed if a team had given a promise of a pick

Tough to see a good fit for Mills right now. Perhaps the Lakers could still take him with their 2nd rounder? Detroit or Charlotte are also possible, but Mills would be behind younger guys, rather than behind an ageing superstar who he could learn from.

From my recollection ESPN showed the entire second round last year, just not Nathan Jawai's pick!! Came back from an ad break and it was all done - expecting Mills to be drafted as I type and ESPN are in another ad!!

Disappointing for Mills and Aussie ball so far. I would love to know why he decided to stay in the draft. Was he promised first round and screwed? Did he fall on draft day for some unexpected reason? Or did Patty just feel he wanted/ needed to make some cash now and so decided to go professional regardless?

Yeah, Dallas would be a good spot for Mills at this point. If not - gulp - I'd be happy if the Lakers got him... you have no idea how hard it is for me to say that!

Victor Claver? Looks like what could have been for Joe Ingles, if he had sold himself better. Oh well, still a small hope he gets drafted late in the 2nd.

Maybe minnesota will take mills in the second round

Skin - they still have #28 ... Mills to Minny at #28 to complete their collection!!! ;-)

Minny are very frustrating. I'm still a big fan of Al Jefferson, so I was hoping they would draft well to get him an exciting suppporting cast.
I really hope they have a good deal up their sleeve, because a backcourt of Rubio and Flynn is just ridiculously undersized.
I was originally hoping they would trade up for Harden and then find a PG like Curry with the #6.
Switching for Tyreke might be a good option for Minny, but doubt that was planned in advance, because straight after Minny took Rubio and Flynn, Kahn said he planned on keeping both. If there was already a deal in place with a team that had picked, I don't think he would have said that.

3, Mills is committed. He missed his chance to pull out of the draft a couple of weeks ago. I think he should have gone around one more time with St Mary's as well. He'll get picked up, but looking almost certain to be 2nd round, which means no guarantees in his contract.

Harden at 3.....Everyone thinking Rubio at 3...
