Could a Draft work for the NewNBL?

No. There isn't enough money in the league to pay the rookies enough to play for the team that drafted thaem. Try telling the 8th pick in the second round that he has to pack his bags and head to the other side of the country to play for a team about to fold for the measly sum of $20,000 a season.
