Game Night: Sixers/Hawks
Isaac
. I would be surprised if the coaches haven't had a frustrating time trying to keep the point guards on track
What happens in the workplace when an employee takes no notice of the boss's instructions and does his own thing instead. He gets the sack.

Originally - in the course of dichotomy - I'd have Groves - seeing some brilliance and some brittle and hoping the brilliance would out do the brittle, with better coaching.
Maybe being told that this was his last game, is why he chucked up the three to win the game, rather than try for two.
However - the brittle out did the brilliance.
In the foggy web of destiny - of the 2 - I'd take Ninnis.

Gilchrist-Groves didn't take a lot of notice of him.
Maybe that's part of the thinking then, if he's locked in .

The trend has been to blame Cortez Groves - most of the time.

18/5/7 - last nite. 16/7/9 last game. But seems he's a very bad player. 3rd MVP.

It's been two (2) months since a 36ers game has been on radio - and some people used to like to listen to the games on radio.
Hopefully , next Season - some coverage could be arranged, somehow.
While some like see/read a result/report in news adeliadenow. - That might be good, next season also.

Skud. I also disagree that Cortez had a good game despite his 18 points. How many points does he actually give up by his poor inefficient shooting? Wollongong outscored Adelaide's rebound count by 10. Potentially, he could have given up as much as he gained which would negate any positive affect he had on the game.

When will Ninnis realise that your point guard dribbling thr ball through his legs until 5 seconds to go on the shot clock is NOT an offence?
Andrew Filmer has got ot go, he is inept, inconsistent, incompetent and a blight on the league.
I waited until this morning to allow me time to cool down.

Am I the only person who left the stadium without a free hat or mini-ball? It's amazing watching grown men turn into ferals as soon as a guy dressed up as a magpie starts throwing free merch at them...

What makes it stand out so much worse with Tez crap 3pt attempt nearing end of regulation was his first play of OT was a strong aggressive drive to the hoop that resulted in a foul and FT's - why the hell wasn't that are play for regulation? nothing to lose go in hard.
Hill STILL doesn't know when to pull out of a dribble or pass the ball which is disappointing because offensively he has some weapons.
We went 3-14 to finish the season, hopefully we have a good off-season.

Only caught the second half due to family stuff so can only comment on what I saw. Burston, Ballinger and Herbert all did ok. Ng is a deadset liability in defence and from what I heard from the commentary 1/4 in offence. Hill was consistent with other games I have seen this year, hopeless in offence and misses too many easy shots, no basketball brain, gives up silly fouls as well. Holmes is seriously undersized for his role and limited ability. Too small for a power forward and too limited an outside game as a three man. Groves scored some points, gave off some great assists, but far too many turnovers and poor shot selection.
Every now and again, 36ers ran an offence that worked and every time they did, they scored. Too much rotation and doubling in defence gave the hawks too many easy shots. Same problem with the later Smyth years so perhaps not all down to Ninnis.
How professional basketbalers can shoot foulshots at less than 80% is beyond comprehension. Surely with a head coach and two assistants, one of them could identify the technique problem and work with the players to improve that %. If Marino can hit 50 3 pointers in a row at practise, surely a 36er could hit 2 free throws in a row in a game.
Been a long summer, 36ers worst ever season, Adelaide United not much better, Lightning look like they will miss the play offs for the first time and the Crows got caned by Power today. At least the Thunderbirds in the Netball have appeared to recruited well for the forthcoming season. otherwise it is finding a Rugby league team to follow. Sigh!!!!!

Andrew Filmer was best for the Hawks.....only just ahead of Haines!!!!!

Never under estimate the Taipans at home. Do so at your own peril. If you've been to a home game for them you will understand what I am talking about. They play off the energy of the crowd down the straight. I personally am hoping for them to beat the Breakers. Sorry 36ers supporters for this, but I have picked 36ers to beat the Hawks tonight in my tipping comp. I think they can do it for you guys. Go Crocs

It's a disgrace that we can't watch the games or highlights on channel 9. Absolutely nothing. The ones with Foxtel have to pay and extra 50.00 for 2 weeks to get 6 extra channels with the basketball, lawnbowls and gymnastics on it. I don't care about lawnbowls or gymnastics want b-ball and i am not paying 50 dollars for it. WHY can't Fox replay it maybe after the games or nine to do the match replayed a week after, a month after i don't care. I want to watch Australia thrash every other team.
Someone should start a petition to get b-ball replayed later on FOXSPORTS or channel 9 (i'm not good at it)
