40 Minute Games in the NBL before 2009-10?
Peter, that's incorrect. Al Green scored his 71 points in a 48 minute game. Reg Biddings scored 63 in a 40 minute game in 1981 or 1982. I think it changed to 48 minutes in 1983 or 1984 but not entirely sure.

Since ive been going to the games it used to be 12 minute quarters. pre 1990's im not sure but at a guess id say its always been 12 minutes. but throughout the 90's they did 12 minute quarters and this season was the NBL lining up with the FIBA rules.
Feel free to correct me if im wrong but thats my understanding for the changes?
