Emus team selected for China tournament
Emu's rounded off their tour of China with a convincing 12 point win over host China to finish with a 7-2 record.
Hadziomerovic, Creek and Spehr were the standouts for the Emu's in their win.

Emu's reversed the result against Slovenia, winning by 4 in their latest game. Aldridge and Drmic once again led the way for the Emu's who now improve to a 6-2 record on tour with one final game against China to come.

The Emu's played a shocker in losing to Slovenia by 9 early this morning. Aldridge and Drmic were best for the Emus.
The Emu's play 3 more games on tour before returning home.

The Emus are 4-1 on their current Chinese tour, coming from behind in their last game against China to win by 2. This followed a previous loss to the same Chinese team earlier on - their only loss to date on tour.
The Emu's also recorded a comfortable win over a USA select team. They next face Slovenia.
Drmic, Aldridge and Creek have so far been the standout performers.

Those selected certainly deserve it. I hope that Greenwood is not travelling just so he can catch up on his school work as he is a gun and will be required for the junior world champ's.

Footyfreak,
No the players picked are not "consolation prizes"
Every single one of those guys above has international experience, either at the Albert Schweitzer Tournament or at the AYOF.
As LC said 8 members of the AST team are in the team and the other 4 new faces were all part of the AYOF team. Australia won the AYOF and the AST. They got in because they worked hard and were victorious on the international level.

Greenwood was all-star 5 at the recent Albert Schweitzer Tourney...I doubt he has transferred to footy.

Good call on the ommission of Greenwood - I did not notice that!
Any inside info anyone?

Yeah where's Hugh at ?

...until sometime in November.
With the now pending sale of both the Pura Milk 36ers and the Adelaide Lightning, along with the Distinctive Homes Dome, we feel it would be appropriate not to conduct any key events at this time and have thus deferred the 2006 Pura Milk 36ers & Adelaide Lightning Gala Auction until November 2006, the exact date to be advised shortly.Just thought I'd post this for anyone who had planned on going along.
