IMO, the best Asst coach is like a food critic - looks for faults.

I have always thought that one of the major shortcomings of Brendan Joyces reign up here on the coast was the lack of a strong assistant. Mark Watkins was a lovely bloke and had a great knowlege of the game but he didnt have the personality or drive to stand up and question the coach. As a result Brendan just did what he wanted and stuffed it all up.

A strong oach is vital but there also needs to be an equally strong assistant to keep everything in check.
