Patrick Mills: where will he play next season?
Anon, all he has to do to make a decent living in the NBA is have a couple of big nights....There are plenty of teams who are notorious for overpaying for high volume scorers who have "upside".

I actually think it would be better for him not to get signed by Portland because even if they do retain him he is not getting any court time being that he is at very best the 3rd string pg for them.
He should go to the D-league. He won't last long there if he plays like he did last season and will end up on an NBA team before the end of next season. Teams are always looking for solid scorers off the bench.

By the way, Virtus Bologna is the team David Andersen won his first Euroleague title with back in 2001 - just for some past history should Patty end up signing there!

Hello everyone,
It certainly is great news that Fox Sports is broadcasting the World Championships.
This is a deal signed after over 18 months of negotiations.
It is great news for those of us with Foxtel, or basketball fans who can get in front of a foxtel set to see the Boomers play.
For basketball, however, and the hundreds and thousands of Australians who play the game but never get to see it played at the elite level, the deal is almost meaningless.
FIBA communication with a free to air station is due to recommence next week. While this forum is a small part of the campaign, it is extremely important as the most passionate baketball lovers can be found here.
Please email SBS again at comments@sbs.com.au, and go to

and make your feelings known.
There are a number of community groups that will generate several hundreds of emails this week. If basketball forum members can do the same it will provide a fantastic backdrop for talks with FIBA.
The result will most definitely be worth a few minutes effort, so send the emails and spread the word to basketball teammates, coaches, friends and family. Keep up the effort until FIBA have finished negotiations.
GOOD LUCK!
Paul Kennedy.
