Hoops FNBL Round 11
Actually Pledger has been putting up quite good numbers so far and odds are I will be using big Khazzouh as my starting centre each week anyway....
Sooooo who wants to upgrade their centre and how badly do you want it?
Trade options are
- Trade me for my # 1 pick
- Trade me for Pledger
- Work out a trade where I lose Pledger now and then get him back next week for Majok
Or I guess I could do a deal to not use my pick but I cant see that one working

Ouch X that's not very nice!!
FWIW I dint reckon Wortho is playing tonight anyway ?

What no steak knives X?
Loughton, Shannon and Howard for Martin plus an average import and a recycled, over the hill import?
Hmmm, let me see... er ... NO?

and here we go for another week...
Merry Christmas everyone :)

I assume I can pick up Damien Ryan as a free agent? If so, will dump Henare for him.
My team below reflects this change. If I can't pick up Ryan for some reason, just reinsert Henare in Ryan's spot.
Here we go then, your team without a centre and only six active players, I give you, YOUR BEANTOWN DONUTS (cue Bulls awesome intro music circa 1996):
Crosswhite
Hinder
Walker
Howard
Shannon
Campbell
Ryan
Boucher
Loughton
Knight

X - the reason I didn't take the trade offer is because I already have two Hawks players, so to take Coenraad would make me to Hawk heavy in my team.
However, If you were to offer Nevill (33) for Davidson (31) as well as Madgen (14) and Coenraad(17) for Carter (20) and Williamson (7), I will accept.

Sorry I meant Rychart.
I will just post my team again!

Really Lockie???
Im trying to find out if the is something wrong with Madgen or Coenraad as that deals seems too good to be true.
Carters role is likely to be reduced now with the 2 imports playing.

oh and my captain at this point is Homicide.

Anyone know if the Rickett/Perth rumour is true?

Noticed a few comments in the Talking Hoops Recap and have heard similar said here and there before: with Horvath at the 36ers, we're back to the old Rogers excuse of not being familiar with a scoring big man in the team.
But is it just an excuse?
The fact is that Horvath is a legitimate option - scored well in the pre-season, wasn't shabby at the Blitz, and put up the game-high in Singapore.
So, to the problem of the team having to adjust to that - well, half the team has gone - and for Majstrovich, Copeland, Ng, and Horvath and Wheeler, this is a new side.
Copeland has played with Mark Bradtke as a target since the Cretaceous Period. Majstrovich worked alongside Ben Pepper last year, Bobby Brannen in 2001, and Paul Rogers in 99/00 I think.
The rest, even if they're not used to it, aren't idiots and can adjust quickly -- these are full-time professionals after all.
So, as comments go, is it a realistic observation or maybe just a dodgy excuse?
