UConn women win 89th straight game
For sure. But conversely that's what makes this achievement by UConn slightly less impressive. The lack of parity in women's college ball takes just a little bit of the gloss off it for me. Geno is a legend for sure, but because of that the best players flock to him, and the success of his programme snowballs. It has been incredible over the last decade.
Still, these are kids, meaning that inconsistency is virtually guaranteed, so this is an amazing record in its own right.

Very big record breakiong achievement led my college superstar Maya Moore who is likely to be selected #1 in the next WNBA draft ahead of our own Liz Cambage.
