Private Owners or BBall Associations?
BSA or the old BASA is the reason why there is private ownership of the Lightning. A change of name will not enable the Association to run a viable Womens program. It needs $$ without baggage.

The remark about league support for Canberra is incorrect. They (BA) support the Capitals no more or less than any other WNBL team. Jackson's appearance last year was a once-off seperate sponsorship deal, albeit mostly from the same corporate supporters that support the team.
