The difference was free throws in the 4th quarter. Breakers got at least a dozen.
Perth offense, Brown,Tovey and Weigh could not get it done when it mattered. Martin tried to play a lone hand (despite missing 2 FT's) and Lisch when he finally got the chance fell victim to our ridiculously slippery court.
Not much between teams but CJ was sensational (refs bailed him out on the charge) and Penney delivers points.

Great win for NZ, making a habit of getting over the line in the close games.
BJ Anthony made the most of his oppurtunities and Bruton was clutch down the stretch. Damien Martin was his usual relentless self on D but Perths woefull shooting let them down. Couple of nice blocks from Andre Brown and was impressed the way Abercrombie and Penney didn't just settle for jumpers and attacked the rim. Abercrombies alley oop floater was a tough tough shot that he made look easy.

Breakers have Abercrombie, Pledger, Bj Anthony on the court, all ex or current development players.
Wildcats with a 1 point lead at the end of the 3rd.
Breakers getting smashed on the glass.

Interesting play call to end the first half...
2 seconds on the game clock, NZ with the inbound on their defensive baseline.
Braswell inbounds, CJ as a decoy runner,Wilkinson with the screen, Abercrombie and Penney both making cuts to the hoop for a lob.
Full court heave from the inbounds by Braswell was unsuccessful, halftime score:
Breakers 44 - 40 Wildcats

Not too long till tip off, can't be arsed driving across to the north Shore for this one, TV it is :)

Breakers will be tough to beat at home but Perth aren't going to roll over for anyone.
I would be surprised if Boucher didn't play.
