Having had more than a few dealings with Bill in a previous basketball life, I'm very glad that it was Larry ( who has some creditability) and not Chucky who stepped up and attributed "utter professionalism, dedication and a sense of humour" to Billy, because that IS Bill , Very Very sad to see him gone from the NBL.
Absolute legend! I went & watched my Dad play in the over 70's at Bulleen a few years back & there's Billy umpiring the oldies. Reminds me of watching A Gaze on a wednesday night at Albert Park on court 9 filling in for 'D' grade Tigers cause they were short. No egos just down to earth great blokes & lovers of the game. They also never forget your names.
