Nice one - didn't know that!

Hodgson will be a better fit at SMC given their needs at the pivot and the fact he will no longer have to sit behind fellow Aussie Matt Massey in the pecking order at Southern Utah.

PS, last time I checked, Hodgson plays at Southern Utah and not St Mary's.

Check out the NCAA thread for division I players...

Broekhoff, Steindl, Dowdell, Brandt along with Iliadis and Maynard IMO should make the cut at least.

Not a bad mix...but I would have liked to see Bose, Delly, Young and Motum in the squad too.
Naburgs has is own position!

Just noticed in the box scores that Horvath scored 12 and 9 in quarters 1 and 3 and only 2 in each of quarters 2 and 4.

I also noticed in a few games this year a similar trend with Horvath and was wondering what is causing this.

Is it that the Sixers are aware they need an inside presence and are reminded in depth pre game and at half time and then "forget" or lose focus as the half/game goes on?

Or is it that teams adjust to try and counter Horvath and he gets others involved?

I tend to think that Horvath doesn't consistently see enough of the ball inside throughout the whole game and the Sixers seem to go to perimeter a lot of the time. Is that just because they haven't been used to having a good big man over the last few years and the old habits are still there?

I also think Horvath needs to look to kick it back out a bit more, especially to the weak side guard.

Thoughts?
