Awesome effort. Amazing ride and performance.

Will win the race officially tonight. First ever Aussie to do so.

Will go down as arguably one of the best individual sportsman Australia has ever produced.

Not only did he win, but he did it in style. Blew the Schlecks away in the time trial by finishing second on the stage within 7 seconds of German time trial specialist Tony Martin. To do this after single handedly leading the chase on the previous two nights up two of the toughest mountain stages ever has to go down as one of the greatest achievments in Australian sports history.

I know that the nbl pulls out all the stops to get great singing talent to sing advance australia fair before each grand final game and im really looking forward to it this year more then most because i know the australian pool of pop talent hasn't been this good since like 1988 or something. Here would be my perfect line up for the grand finals

Game 1 national anthem: Cosima De Vito

half time: Robert milsy mills

game 2 national anthem: young divas

half time: rolling stones

game 3 national anthem: nicky webster (i hope if she does that one team is up 2-0, i believe if her perfoamnce is half as good as it was at the 2000 games we can bring out the brooms because she will lift that side)

half time show: Guy Sebastian (if he does i really hope he sings his new one, elevator love as i think its one of the best australian penned songs of all time)

game 4 if required national anthem: John farnham

half time show: bindi and bob irwin

game 5 national anthem if required: Peter garrett

half time show: asian lady who can spin lots of plates at the same time while bending over
