Brazil booked a ticket to London by defeating the Dominican Republic 83-76. Machado had 20 and Huertas 19 for Brazil. Horford and Martinez each had 18 in the loss.

Argentina also earned a ticket by holding off Puerto Rico in a 81-79 in a thriller. Scola led the way with 27, Ginobili had 23 and Prigioni 16 - and were the only Argentines to score in double figures. Barea had 20, Santiago 16 and Arroyo 15 in a greater team spread. Both teams had their chances, and Purto Rico will rue misseing a golden opportunity.

Phoenix Suns guard Steve Nash will not play in the 2007 NBA All-Star Game on Feb. 18 due to inflammation in his right shoulder that has forced him to miss the last three and a half games. Nash also will not participate in the NBAs Playstation® Skills Challenge, but will be in attendance for All-Star Weekend activities in Las Vegas.
