Because the guy in front of him made All NBL Team in his first year in the league and shoots at a much better clip all over the floor. Pledger is a great asset coming off the bench and is only getting better, much in part due to Wilkinsons involvement with him @ training (watch Wilkinsons reactions on the bench when Pledger hits a bucket or blocks someone).
Centres generally develop later than Guards or Forwards so their is no rush with the Pledgehammer.
Jackson with some great numbers in his 2cnd game and Pledger contributed as soon as he hit the floor. Wilkinson looks to be in great form and hit some nice shots as well as playing decent defense on the Hawks bigs.
