Music against the Blaze
Sorry for the multiple posts. Connection to my phone was playing up

Anon is right. This "lets go sixers" is really pathetic. There is "adelaide" or "sixers" but then I guess, like I said, people l;ike favourites.
how boring!

Music last week was fine however after successive 3's and when on a roll, why not "rocking all over the world"? Or moscow?
The only reasoning behind those songs are they are knwon by everyone including new fans.
I reckon adding Cotton Eye Joe and others is good but keeping old favourites and then adding new ones broadens the spectrum for all supporters.
Gotta remember, some dont like change as others do. So play music that people like (old) and new for the younger ones. That way everyone is happy.
Lastly, its a sport but for fans its about entertainment. Its not AFL or A-League

No, that anthem was played from the early 90's after the move to the Powerhouse. The one I recall pre-dates that and was much quicker. It was something like:
"we're the 36ers, something, something, something,
we come from South Australia,and something, something something;
Da,da,da,da,da,da,da,diddi, di da,
We're the 36er, ....... .........
Lol! Good luck, like I said, can't remember the words.
Other stuff you might want to consider Skip:
Bound for glory (Rose tattoo) welcome to the jungle ( guns n roses) Live it up (mental as anything), great southern land (icehouse), respectable (mel and kim), locomotion by Kylie Minogue, working class man - jimmy barnes and livin on a pray (Bon Jovi).
ok, I'm done.

In the days of old , in the days of gold , in the days of ole King Cole.
I can see to myself that the sun is sinking ,
how I wish you were here to see.
Tell me now , am I wrong in thinking ,
that you have forgotten me.
Well they worry and they hurry and they fuss and they fret . They waste your nights and days.
Them I will forget , but you I'll remember always.
The days of old , when we dug up the gold , the days of Ken Cole.

Big Ads,
are you referring to the sixers song played to the tune of ode to joy? absolute ripper, would be great to bring it back!

and while I'm still on memory lane, Take on me (a-ha), Blue Monday (New Order, Fight for your right (to party) (Beastie Boys), New Sensation (INXS)

The old 36ers club song (can't remember the words), but surely those over 35 remember it. I loved clapping to it as a kid.
Thriller and Beat it by the other famous MJ

Was about to suggest It Takes Two.
You know what they say about great minds and all.

Walk this Way - Run DMC
Bust a Move - Young MC
Sisters of Mercy - Dominion/Mother Russia
Seek and Destroy - Metallica
Ain't No Half Steppin - Big Daddy Kane (instrumental)
