Patty Mills not returning to NBA???

Could maybe return for the Tigers for the playoffs?

I just posted this in the Euro thread:

Xinjiang defeated Tianjin 121-108 in the Chinese NBL.
Mills started and scored a game-high 42 points on 17/27 shooting (8/10 3PT) to go with 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals and no turnovers in 47 minutes.

That'll boost his average! 8/10 from downtown is pretty good shooting in anyone's book!

Mills is now averaging 30.5ppg - still 3rd in the league behind Lester Hudson (33.7ppg) and Wilson Chandler (32.0ppg).

I thought JR Smith did his knee? Or was that someone else???

Yep he's locked in. The lockout turned around pretty quick which was not expected considering the likelihood of court cases etc. Moneywise he's no worse off being in China, just a shame there was a nice opportunity there for him in Portland. It does look good on his resume though to say he's had success in college and 2 pro leagues and has had some success at NBA and Olympic level.

Teams can cut their NBA imports, I heard JR Smith is close (if not already) to being cut for all the wrong reasons.
I guess if their CBA team wanted to they could cut them out of good will, but why would they really? Players knew what they were getting into when they signed the deals.

Boti Nagy has reported that the Adelaide 36ers has offered contracts to Brad Newley and Axel Dench.

Quote: "But even by terminating Dench's deal, the Tigers have a points capacity of 60 and could not legally accommodate Newley, who is a nine-point player. It also is past the cut-off to have any existing personnel re-evaluated."

"We don't see how Melbourne could fit Brad into the side legally," 36ers operations manager Paul Bauer said.
