I actually like Jack Jumpers, really quirky and different to the usual bland nicknames. There are some equally great nicknames all through college sport in the US, which frankly, is why we have started to refer to teams in Australia in a similar way.
I also have no problem with any athlete using what forum they have to support a cause they feel strongly about. Many of these conservatives who complain about Athletes taking a knee or some other form of brief protest, are also happy to thank god or pray when its suits their agenda.
