Ron Artest?

Even if the Pacers had Artest back, they probbly wouldn't beat the Pistons with the injuries they're carrying right now. Suspending a player for the rest of the season is a pretty lame judement, imho. If you want to be massively excessive, suspend him for 100 games (playoff or regular) and set the precedant clearly. Players have games, teams have seasons. Suspending a player for a season is hurting a team more than necessary. What happens if a player for a lottery team goes into the stands 3 games before the end of the season? Does the suspenion count for all of next season aswell? Ron's previous history of getting suspended is also another factor which makes this difficult to tell to what extent he is being punished for previous actions or for just entering the stands. Degenerate: The last player to run into the stands and attack a fan was suspended 10 games. Ron should have never gone into the stands, but Ben Wallace shouldn't have been throwing things at Artest, indirectly inciting the crowd. The refs should have ejected BWallace right after the push and it wouldn't have happened. The security should have been in the stadium, instead of walking people to their cars. There are countless whatifs surrounding what happened in Detroit that night, but the Pacers seem to have born the brunt of the reaction. I think Stern could have potentially used re-instating Artest for the playoffs to generate hype. A storied run to the finals in Reggie's last season type thing. </pacerrant>

He shouldn't let him play again, after the things he did
