Great Bogut interview about the trade, injuries

Yeah, good article. He's probably pissed a few people off with his comments about how his injuries were managed in Milwaukee and how 'people seem happier' in the bay area, but in the end, you know he's generally telling you what he really thinks and thats a good thing.

I thought it was interesting the way he talked about the pressure on medical staff to get players back on the floor and the excessive use of anti-inflammatories.

That kind of thing would be a constant battle behind the scenes. Injured players would constantly be feeling the pressure to get back on the floor and earn their wages, but at the same time, they're trying to judge for themselves, just how far they can push their body. And they're often relying on day to day decisions by experts whose priority may be the health of the franchise over them.

Players have to make a decision sometimes, do I want to be a star now, but risk being a cripple later like Bill Walton? Some will say yes and others will be more cautious.

Also sounds like Bogut has about a 1% chance of suiting up for the Boomers at the Olympics this year. Disappointing, but understandable given the magnitude of next season for his NBA career.
