Possible new 36ers venue?

I do recall them playing a game at the Entertainment Centre at least once.
I think it may have been around the opening of it ? back when and they played a demonstration game.
I also recall that the seating was not as suited to basketball as the Powerhouse was.

I've followed the Sixers since about '86 and I also cannot recall them ever playing at the Ent Cent. If they did it would only have been a one off.

Even with the terrible on-court results of the past few years, crowd numbers have been well above ETSA Park capacity on a regular basis. Moving there would be a massive step backwards for basketball.

The Ent Cent wouldn't work either. Its too big for the crowds the Sixers will get in the forseeable future. Have always hated the cramped and more steeply banked seating at the Ent Cent too. I would be very surprised if you got as good a view of the action there as is currently offered at the Adelaide Arena.

I really hope the Sixers can remain at Adelaide Arena long-term. Its capacity is about right and it is setup for basketball, with great views of the court all round. Lets hope whoever buys the venue will do the right thing by basketball.

One of the major issues for the Blaze has been having to play out of the Convention centre in Broadbeach, where they have to pay huge rent and get zero return from any food/drinks/carparking.
Adding 30-50k to game night costs has made breaking even with an attendance of 3-3.5k rather hard!

I have been following the sixers since 86 and i dont recall them playing at the EC. I think you might be wrong on that one

Have been a volunteer during the ANZ championship netball through work and it gets tight when the game is sold out. I still think where melbourne play is better than that. more room

And the corporate boxes would not be ale to be sold for the club to make money money would go to netball sa.

I have been to the championship game played in netball at the EC and it gives a lot more room than ETSA park.

It would be goo if we had to move the EC its walking distance from home. (yipee)

Lets see what happens.

roof doesn't leak at the EC either

How many could you fit in Marion?

I seem to recall the Netballers get 3,500 at their stadium (full) and they get 10,500 at EC (full).

Still hoolahoops not big fans .
