David Andersen (16 points, 10 rebounds) led the way on the scoresheet for the Boomers, with Patty Mills (14 points) and Aron Baynes (12 points) providing support.

Nene (12 points, 11 rebounds) and Tiago Splitter (15 points) the standouts in Brazil's 16-point win.

One would think a fit Maric and Nielsen could help curb Brazil's fron court?

Australian star Penny Taylor scored 30 points to lead the Phoenix Mercury to the WNBA title with a 108-92 victory over Detroit Shock.

Taylor's heroics came in the fifth and deciding finals match and helped the Phoenix became the first team to secure the title away from home after they rallied from 2-1 down in the series against the defending champions.
