Liz put in one of the most embarrassing international performances ever seen. She is not giving it her all. Watch her poor body langugage in the last quarter of the GB game.

The thing was in the GB we won but we lost. GB out hustled us, played harder, and Maher had the last laugh.

France are a good average side.
The USA are not really playing that well.
Penny Taylor was possible the best player in the World at the time of her injury.
I saw philips playing some wnba games and didnt do much and wasnt that surprised when she wasnt selected. But then when you look at the fragile soles that were selected makes you wonder. If you had to go to battle you would want Erin there cause she is a fighter.

I disagree with the Boomers comments - only to add I would have put Martin in over Gibson, as Gibson adds nothing, his charity minute the other night almost cost the game. Martin could have annoyed the hell out of someone for a few minutes a game. Overall I think they are playing some really good defense. Nielson is going a great job of being a leader (I am getting feeds with no commentary and able to listen to the players talking). Their spirit, intensity and attitude look good. Baynes has been a suprise to me.

Feel very sorry for the girls , they all got selected , they are all prepared to work till they collapse ( Sure Liz's threshold is low - but so is her age and maturity - she is still giving all she has).

Clear that there needs to be at least 2 more class offensive players out there Snell is not quite up there -

Add Philips, Taylor and either Maher or Stirling and we would be favourites in my view.

Don't know where to place Graf in Oz womens' coaching, but she is probably above Flynn and Cadee , but well behind Stirling and Maher.

In her case the Jockey did ride the horses, the jockey just sat there hoping the horse could do it all.

harrower shouldnt be there, her time was up 4 years ago. every time richards was on we came back just to see harrower come back on and france get back out to a 6 point lead. He d was Ok but her offence was terrible and had some costly turnovers. I would have put the other pg on instead of harrower (cant remember her name) as she can create her own offence which was what we lacked when jackson fouled out.

dissapointing game but great effort from richards ohea and batkovich.

Liz sooked and pouted all the way through junior basketball in Vic. If things didn't go her way she either cried or threw her elbows around. Nothings changed I'm afraid.

Graf is hopeless, she's a great front runner when the team is playing well and she doesn't have to do much, but when the situation calls for something inspiration from the coach you get nothing.

Worst offence I have seen in long time, like someone said above, having our valuable "bigs" just passing around the 3 point line at the top of the key untilt he shot clock nearly expires is ridiculous.

Worst decisions of the night ( there were many ) was to replace Richards with Harrower and then keep O'Hea on the bench in OT.

Graf has no idea unfortunately and will most likely cost us a medal :(

Obviously a disappointing loss but not the end of the world and can still do great things here in London.

France are a very good team and were better than us on the day and yet we nearly stole a win.

That Snell buzzer beater from near half court was amazing to send the game into OT! Wow - check the Olympic highlight reels for that today!

We need to bounce back strongly, but there does appear to be some unrest with key players and coaching personnel whcih is not a good sign...

@auburns you are right. Watching Liz in the first half she looked like an u14 girl trying to play with the adults. Every missed shot, missed catch was just pulling her 1 step lower, watching her as if she was a child it was only a matter of time before the tears came. Luckily she can shoot Ft's.

Jackson was totally out of breathe in the 4th quarter and needed a sub before she did a stupid foul. which ended up being huge.

This the team that had the excuse after the poor world champs that they needed time to prepare.

Lauren and Suzi both argued back at Graf at different times. Not a good sign.

They are no chance for Gold. Be happy with top 4.

France could just as easily lose to GB or someone else. So still possible to top pool.

But would like to see a much better performance.

Richards/Snell/Ohea/Jackson/Batkovic should start.

Richards needs to start - Snell/Screen shouldnt be on the court at the same time. Phillips would have been useful since mcleod doesnt get to play. Why no Hodges?
Totally unorganised timeout at the end of regulation, sets up a play and then the players go on the court and graf makes a last second sub.
Final minute of OT shot clock expiry and turnover.
The 12 missed layups didnt help.
France didnt play that well, we were just worse.

I just screamed out when that went in. Amazing... Luckily somehow i didn't wake up the whole house...

Liz has been a complete liability the whole game. Starting centre crying on the bench. What a joke.
