Although Townsville ran a lot of stuff through Schensch, he was well overrated. You just had to watch two minutes of him being on the floor to know a 50 year old Shaq with a broken leg could blow by him, way too slow. That's the problem I think Adelaide might face with Johnson and Schenscher on the floor at the same time - defensive rotation/help defense speed/reactions.

Basketball is busy & booming in Port Pirie with an array of Exhibition Games being held in The Panthers Den, along with a Senior & Junior Carnival.

Having already hosted successful games/nights against UNI SA & United District the following is coming up:

17-18 November - Blitz - Senior Country Association Carnival

24-25 November - Panthers vs. Adelaide Uni (2 x Men's Teams & 1 x Women's)

1-2 December - Junior Country Association Carnival

8 December - Panthers vs. Scott Arnold All Stars

15 December - Panthers vs. Central District Lions Div 3 men and hopefully a U18 team.

We have 2 dates left that we would love to host another 2 teams, with the thought that a Women's and/or U18 team could come up for a weekend being the 12th or 19th of January.

I think a lot hinges on Allen. If he doesn't perform (which I have doubts about), I think they will struggle against bigger teams.
