Fenerbahce 97 - Boston Celtics 91

Im pretty shred McCaleb played alongside Andersen at Montepaschi Sieba last season...

Just watched this game and Fenerbahce have some nice players. Bo McCalleb is VERY athletic and hurt the Celtics on the pick and roll all night. Commentators were saying he played for the Bulls last season. Could definitely be a decent backup on the right NBA team, though he needs to stop blatantly palming the ball so much.

The guy I was most impressed with though was Sato. Muscular 6'4 guard out of Xavier who shot and drove the ball well all night. Was game high scorer with 24 pts @ over 50%, 4/4 from downtown, 7 rebs, 2 stls, 0 TOs.

Our own David Andersen is also playing for Fenerbahce, but blew a bit hot and cold off the bench.

The Celtics were poor defensively, but I was happy to see some good signs from Jeff Green and new guys Sullinger, Terry and Darko. Green and Sullinger equal top scored for the C's with 16 apiece.

Sully is a beast on the offensive glass and just makes great position to get easy baskets. Rondo is going to rack up a lot of easy assists with him.

Doc left Green out there with the rookies for the last 6 mins of the game and let him run the show. He did a pretty good job, scoring at will by using his length and quickness and finding his team mates a couple of times.

But for some rookie mistakes from the very raw Fab Melo, Jeff Green and the Boston 3rd team could have pulled out a narrow come from behind win. In the end it was Sato with two big threes that closed out the game though.
