National Schools Championships 2012
I was watching the Lake G- Sydney Boys game and Moneke was very impressive. He was throwing down massive dunks during the warm ups, and during the game he was grabbing every board. I don't think he is an AIS player because their are only 2 ais players allowed (Exum, Djeric). But nevertheless, that team was very dominant and i could see them in the Grand Final.

Looks like the big names are living up to their hype early on...
Game 1 -
Luxford - 48 points, 7 boards, 6 assists
Oswald - 32 points, 27 boards, 2 steals, 2 assists
Day - 30 points, 11 boards, 6 assists, 6 steals
Exum - 33 points, 9 boards, 9 assists, 4 steals, 3 blocks
Djeric - 16 points, 7 boards, 4 assists
Game 2 -
Luxford - 26 points, 8 assists
Oswald - 28 points, 16 boards, 5 assists, 3 steals, 3 blocks.
Anyone know anything about C Moneke at Lake G? Is he an AIS kid? had 19 and 17 in their Game 1...
And would love to post more numbers but I can't see all the LiveStats. I'm with you TassieballerCallums - very frustrating!

Can someone tell me why the Live Stats are not working for all the games. It is very annoying!!

I've heard Dante Exum, Mirko Djeric, Jack Mcveigh, Mickey Luxford, Chima Moneke, Darcy Malone, and Nick Duncan will be playing.

Who do you think are the 10 best players currently in the NBL
This is not directly based on stats but more so theyre value to the team, theyre skill, leadership, work rate/effort and theyre intangibles [boxing out shooters, taking charges, deflections, setting good screens - little things that dont count as stats]
My top 10 would be:
1. Anstey
2. Mackinnon
3. Worthington
4. Redhage
5. Grizzard
6. Ingles
7. Barlow
8. Dave Thomas
9. Cattalini
10. Ballinger
1. Anstey, still what I think the best palyer in the league, changes shots in D, posts up well, draws a lot of double teams, good rebounder, on a winning team.. nuff said
2. Mackinnon, still one of the most versatile pleyers in the league, can post up, shoot from anywhere, take you off the dribble, strong defensively, Australian captain
3. Wortho - Vastly on the improve... has improved defensively immensely this year, hard to guard dues to his size + skill.. comes in as a combo forward in the NBL, SF for Australia
4. Redhage - Also IMO a combo forward, also very hard to guard, very similar to Wortho just not as strong defensively
5. Grizzard - Quite tall and has a nice stroke on his shot, his stats show better than his contribution to the team.
6. Ingles - IMO he will be a key part to the Aus national team the next 10 years... Super Athletic, can drive on you or shoot a 3, has a nice drive n dish move. Improving defensively, just needs to add some muscle to his frame
7. Barlow - Very versatile and has great handles for somebody 6'9, will also be a part of the Aus team for the next 10 years with Ingles, Newley, wortho, jawai and Loughton
8. Dave thomas when fit is one of the premier imports in the league, super athletic and a great rebounder for his position... recent melbourne slump without him shows how important he is to the team
9. Cattalini - Good shooter for his size, great driver, offensive threat....
10. Ballinger - has lots of potential and is a good offensive threat.. needs to get a bit better defensively to be part of a winning team..
Close but no cigar:
Jawai, Harvey, Rillie, Groves, Franklin, Williams, Penney, abney, ben knight, hinson, ebi ere, roselle ellis, ebi ere rickert , bruton, maher, rogers, crowe, black - quite a lot lol
Haven't seen enough of Lampley, Greene yet...
Your top 10??
