Baynes assigned to D-League
Not the best couple of days for Aussies in the NBA.
Baynes: 11 minutes, 0 points, 1 block, 1 TO & 3 Fouls (hopefully not going to become an issue when he gets more minutes as last game he got 4 fouls in 18 minutes)
Mills: 1 minute, 1 rebound, 2 fouls.
Baynes finished with a +/- of +4, but after he had played 5 minutes he had no stats to his name at all, and yet was +12 so hopefully that means he was contributing off the ball.

Hopefully Baynes gets decent minutes even if Duncan is playing.
In ESPN preview talking about Duncan:
"The 14-time All-Star, however, was shooting jumpers at practice Monday, and the team has yet to say when he is expected to play. One member of the Spurs said he would not be shocked if coach Gregg Popovich played Duncan on Wednesday."
This will be the first of 9 straight road games from the Spurs, btw.

Recalled from D League

Quite possible that he was assigned purely to get some extra conditioning in before the Spurs rodeo road trip.

If Baynes wasn't already penciled in for the next Spurs game after his D League effort, you'd have to think that the injury to Duncan today (left game in Q2 with sprained right ankle and left knee) would make him a near certainty.
Although Spurs next game isn't until Wednesday so a 4 day break might be enough for Duncan.

@Benno I agree with 100% of what you've said in this thread.
But it kinda contradicts your post in the first Baynes thread when you said my suggestion that Baynes might spend some time in D League was stupid:
"The dudes been averaging 13.8 points and 9.8 rebounds in Euro league!! Putting him in D-league would be pretty stupid,"

I think the Spurs Nation article hinted at that too...I don;t think he will be there for long myself...
